FASD Keyworker

To strengthen and navigate existing support for families living with FASD.

The FASD Keyworker provides flexible, timely and culturally sensitive supports for families of children and youth with confirmed or suspected FASD. Specific areas of support include:

• Liaising with regional health teams that identify children and adolescents with FASD and other similar behavioural developmental conditions.
• Work to empower and support children, youth and families impacted by diagnosed or suspected Complex Developmental Behavioural Conditions (CDBC), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and Fetal Alcohol Effect (FAE).
• Support parents in understanding and following through with recommendations and in assessing existing family support, health and education services. Support parents with information, tools and resources tailored to their child’s needs.
• Assist families to access services and supports, advocate for their child

We offer weekly family walks, weekly parent support meeting, family night potluck dinners, monthly gatherings and MORE.
