Community Care and Housing Support

The Wachiay Friendship Centre offers support to individuals facing housing precarity, homelessness, or financial challenges. As part of the BC Housing Homeless Outreach Program, we provide the following services:

• Assistance with BC Housing applications, including the Housing Registry and Shelter Aid for Elderly Renters.

• Education and support for housing searches on platforms such as Craigslist, Kijiji, and Facebook Marketplace.

• One-time subsidies for utilities, damage deposits, and rent.

• Vulnerable Assessment Tool interviews and assistance.
